Hello, although I am a advance GNU/Linux user myself(since 5 months ago),I still have some questions regards separated partitions for / & home directory and RAID.

1.How large is the partition size needed for the /and home directory in(% of the HDD)?(my swap file will be 8096 MiB,the exact double size of my memory)?

2.I will use 2 of the same HDD model(Western Digital WD10EARS (http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=763)),so which RAID is important for constant synchronising(supported by kernel/distro)?

3.My 400 WATT PSU died last year suddenly,I decided to buy 700 WATT PSU this time(OCZ modstreamx (http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/power_management/ocz_500w_700w_modxstream_pro_power_supply).To make sure to keep working,I will add an UPS,but which one should I buy and how many WATT?

I want to know details, before installing Kubuntu Lucid Lynx LTS AMD64(64bit)in 2 months.
:lolflag:

I always partitioned my hard disk, but this is the 1st time to separate the root and home directory+ using RAID.
