My question is connected with the Ubuntu's recent change to one-colored icons in panels.

Currently, there are a lot of programs which I (and I believe a lot of users) need and they work great. The problem is, they need to reside in gnome-panel to be helpful and effective. In my case, it's fusion-icon and glipper.

Ideally, their developers could create mono icons for them to look nice in today's new looking Ubuntu, but these two aren't really actively maintained, because they are only little helpers and they do their job great already.

So, this is where at least these two projects need the community's help - unfortunately, I'm not an artist, so I am not able to create a mono icon.

But maybe You are? Think about it! Can you help?

PS.: For glipper, there's already a wish:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glipper/+bug/563378

But as You can read at the end:

Needs fixing in glipper first

So we need active participation from the glipper project, and its last release was in 2007. I'm nor accusing the glipper team of creating a not-maintained software, but it simply works very well for the task it is supposed to help with. With that in mind, I doubt (well, it is hardly possible) there is any artist within the glipper's team.

PPS.:Before someone thinks I"m only a "giver" type who wants to talk other people into doing stuff - that's not true. I have good language skills and I actively participate in translation to my mother tongue, Polish.

I decided this is a wrong forum. I created the same thread here:

Unfortunately, I can't delete this thread, so I would be greatful if a moderator did it for me.
