I have given my server a viking funeral. It was very cathartic.

Or at least, that's what I think of when people mention vikings.

By Viking funeral, do you mean this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norse_funeral)? Or did you just burn it? :p

If the original poster isn't going to show computers getting destroyed, I will.

The Scandinavians were some of the most violent, bloodthirsty and successful warriors in history and then just stopped abruptly. Now they are peaceful and socially-minded. Maybe you guys have something to teach the rest of the world?

Good point. I'd just like to have some of that territory back though :p

Anyway, maybe we raged out back then?

Wow, that's... stupid. Donate them to Red Cross or something instead.

Were they all broken? If not, Red Cross could definitely use them.

Even if they were broken, hardware could still have been salvaged, or if they were totally dead(unlikely), they should have deposited them at a recycling facility.

Dude, get real. Red Cross raises money not piles of junk.

Also the computers in the video I linked to were recycled. :guitar:

I am 100% certain that Red Cross, and other organisations like it, would love to get free computers. As long as they work, even if you would call them "old pieces of junk," they can be donated to schools in poor countries.

No good. I still want to see a vid of a server being put to sea with all its peripherals on a burning ship...
