Freezes on startup

I've installed a copy of Xubuntu 10.04 on my laptop, but when I go to boot, it freezes on a black screen. I am able to run Xubuntu live from the dvd. I've dual booted it with Win7 (which works fine). I am looking for any reason it might be doing this. Here are my specs:

Latitude E6410 laptop
2GB Ram
250 GB HDD (installed on a 110GB partition)
Intel i5 core processor

Any help is appreciated.
