Hi all.
I am trying to customize Ubuntu 10.04. I have downloaded a splash-screen, icon theme, dock theme, and Conky.I have emerald and gnome art installed, and I still have the same theme that I'm trying to change. My splash-screen is from Gnome-art, icon theme is oxygen, and dock type is Cairo. Question One: Where does Ubuntu store its active themes? Second, How do I make the splash-screen, icon theme, and dock come up? Finally, can anybody link me to a Conky setup thread? Thanks in Advance.
Dock (http://www.glx-dock.org/)
Icon Theme (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/kde4.2-oxygen+%28modified%29?content=99926)

Kde themes can be changed in

systemsettings -> appearance

pretty much everything else, too.

As for starting the dock: try running it via alt+f2:
cairo-dock

KDE and the dock works. Can anybody link me to a Conky support thread? Does anybody know how to change a splash screen?
Thanks
