Hey guys. I'm COMPLETELY new to Ubuntu and Linux all together..I've always used Windows, unfortunately. I installed Ubuntu 9.10 using the Wubi Install on my computer a few months ago, didn't really get to use it much while at school (I'm also running Vista 32-bit, so Dual Boot I guess?) and decided to upgrade to 10.04. It was all looking really awesome until i needed to restart the computer to complete the installation. That's when this pops up.
A black screen that says:
Error: no such device: fe4deeb3-41eb-4957-81f4-eb987ce1d3b2
grub rescue>
Can anyone run me through what I need to do to get this fixed? I have heard people mentioning partitions and using codes of some sort like (hdX,Y) but I do not know what I am supposed to do with that.
When I enter ls, the only things that show up are:
(hd0) (hd1) (fd0) (fd1)
Help!
Thanks so much
