How do I log in to KDE?

For some reason after the recent upgrade from 9.10 to 10.04, the options along the bottom of GDM vanished. I just installed KDE to test out the most recent version, but kept GDM as my display manager in case I don't like KDE. Now, I still don't have options to change session. How would I log in to KDE? Thanks.

So, you're getting into the Gnome desktop - right?

If that is the case can you log out, not shutdown, and then the menu screen comes up with KDE option, and you should then be able to set it as default.

I think the disappearing options on the bottom panel reappear somehow, I forget exactly - I think maybe, just clicking in the password dialogue does it.
