View Full Version : [ubuntu] Lost compiz settings and metacity key bindings

Today I was minding my own business, typing in an OO writer document, and suddenly all of my compiz settings reset. My desktop effects reset to "none", all compizconfig setting reset to default, and all of my custom keybindings (as set in gconf-editor > apps > metacity) went away. I had to reboot, then manually reset everything. After a second reboot they seemed to stick (at least, so far).

I had installed an update earlier today, but looking at my update history I don't see anything that might possibly have impacted these settings, and the update installed at least several hours before the settings reset occurred. Here is the update log from today, just in case ...

Anyone know what's going on here?

[Edit:] This just happened again! This is incredibly annoying. Any advice would be appreciated.
