goo.gl is an awesome URL shortener that integrates nicely with the Google Chrome Web Browser. Which URL shortener do use/prefer?
I used to use bit.ly and is.gd but found I prefer goo.gl

You can use a bookmarklet to get goo.gl urls in other browsers.
Just save this link (javascript:window.googl_callback%20=%20function(r esponse){if(response.error_message){alert("%20An%20error%20occured:%20"%20+%20response.error_message);}else{alert(respons e.short_url);}};%20var%20s%20=%20document.createEl ement("script");%20s.src%20=%20"http://ggl-shortener.appspot.com/?url="%20+%20encodeURIComponent(window.location.href)%20 +%20"&jsonp=googl_callback";%20void(document.body.appendChild(s));) as a bookmark and click it when you need to goo.gl the page you're at.
nvm,forum anti-xss code messed up the link... Just save this code as a boomark:
javascript:window.googl_callback%20=%20function(re sponse){if(response.error_message){alert("%20An%20error%20occured:%20"%20+%20response.error_message);}else{alert(respons e.short_url);}};%20var%20s%20=%20document.createEl ement("script");%20s.src%20=%20"http://ggl-shortener.appspot.com/?url="%20+%20encodeURIComponent(window.location.href)%20 +%20"&jsonp=googl_callback";%20void(document.body.appendChild(s));

I use:
1. "Ctrl+L", then "Home"
2. Add bit.ly/ in front of the current URL
3. Press "Return/Enter".
4. "Click to Copy".

Clicking shortened links is a really bad practice.

That's what URL expanders are for:
