You can't go anywhere nowadays without it.

Wifey's birthday, so we drove to Lost Wages, Nevada, and checked into the Paris Hotel.

She goes down to gamble, I stay with the kids in the room.

We turn on the TV, change the channel, and as Emeril would say, "BAM!!!"
:guitar:

It's nice when you're out of town and want something to make you feel at home. Thanks Bill!!
):P

America has EVERYTHING! Including a Walmart version of Paris, France ...

It has 1/4 scale Eiffel tower.

The library at my university uses a bunch of screens, that run windows, and how do I know this? Because 4/5 of the time, any given screen will have a giant windows error message on it, it drives me nuts, seeing as most of the library does fine with technology. (Albeit they do like apples...)

It's probably XP. MS makes a version for running kiosk type devices.

What America doesn't have is two carriers for the iPhone. :lolflag:

I had an ATM tell me its UPS was low on batteries and it was shutting down, in glorious NT4 style. *shudder*

I once saw a cash machine reboot. It was also running NT4.

I also recently saw a Windows error message on a screen in a shopping centre.

Yes, old news.

Most of the time when I change the station on a television set, it does that.

Wait ...

I think that's first time I had a TV do that.

Because of PPV. The hotel needs to have software to keep track of all of the rooms.

But a supposed world class hotel running Windows is inexcusable!

Hell, Shiloh Inns in the Western US converted to Linux YEARS ago when they got fed up with the crashes and screwed up billing statements. They never looked back! (they run Red Hat Enterprise .. the same basic system that Lowe's hardware runs.)
