Try to install Ubuntu on a second hard drive via bootdisk. HD is formatted NTFS. Booting from disk with 7.01 on it (it's a bit old, but I checked it for errors and it installed just fine on another computer a year or so ago) and it boots into the menu fine. I select install and after a few minutes of loading I get a message about using low graphics, I hit ok and after a couple more minutes it gets to this then just stops:

It gets to there and just doesn't do anything else.

Oh, also the disk is the only way I can boot/install. I don't have any disks to burn a newer version or anything else to boot from.

edit: also all 4 of the checks in the picture come up as [OK] status.
