I have a Dell latitude C610 that I have run Dapper and Hardy on. Dapper gave me a few difficulties and Hardy gave me none. Lucid has been one nightmare after another.

If I go back to Hardy -- what security implications are there. I realize that it will not be supported anymore, but am I making myself vulnerable to security threats? ( yeah, I know this isn't windows ).

I have tried to work through all the problems but have either found workarounds or no solution at all. I know a fair amount about Linux, but I have a job and kids and no time to get this laptop up and running. At least Hardy "Just Worked" for me.

8.04 Hardy Heron works great and will be supported through April 2011, no worries. :)

Hey thanks for the reply! I must've misread (or remembered wrong...) because I thought support was going away sooner.
