View Full Version : [SOLVED] Since Lucid Upgrade: Certain Sites looking ugly. Flash problem?

Since I upgraded to 10.04, I cannot view a few select internet sites as before. Among them are www.dailyshow.com, www.ebay.de and www.dell.de .

They look as follows for me:

Dell (http://yfrog.com/mndelloj)

ebay (http://yfrog.com/mrebayj)

The www.dailyshow.com sites just loads very slowly and the videos only start after 10 minutes of hassle.

I tried deinstalling and reinstalling Flash via the Software Center, to no avail. I have the same problem in Chrome, so I figure it's nothing Firefox-specific. It also appears with different connections (both, work and home).

Anyone had the same problem and can point me to the solution?

Any further things you want to know?

It looks like you have javascript disabled. Are you aware of any add-ons etc that could block content?

Don't have JavaScriptBlocker installed and deactivating AdBlock did not make a difference. Other than those I would not know what would block Java. Java is activated in FF, of course.

My Chrome Browser is still vanilla and even though has the same problems.

I hope that helps...

The post here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=945839) from Stagger Lee resolved my issues.

Still wondering why the issue came up after the upgrade in the first place, though, but hey, it works now. :D
