Dear all,
I have a Dell Latitude Netbook 2100 and was trying to upgrade from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 but the screen hang/froze each time on "Installation New Packages" "25 minutes remaining"... and would run for hours" with the terminal windows.
Each time I rebooted it would prompt me dell-desktop username & password.
I had to reinstall ubuntu 9.04 factory version to kinda solve the problem. I'd tried more than 3 times of this practise and is now exhausted.
Can anyone come across this problem or should I bring this unit back to Dell? Hopefully I can hear from you soon.
