Update Problems

In update manager there are updates that I can not check the box to install. How can I fix this?

I also get this error

Are you accessing the Internet through a proxy server?

I disabled the getdeb sources and i also followed the instructions here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1056099&highlight=ppa+launchpad+errors

now when i open update manager it says to do a partial upgrade then i get this error

Are you still getting the public key errors? If so, you could try authenticating the repositories by manually importing the public keys, using:


sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys [KEY]

Where [KEY] in the above example is the ID of the public key you want to retrieve.
