Hello,
I've Ubuntu 10.04 on my PC...I recently installed NVIDIA Acclerated graphics driver which are provided from Ubuntu...version 185...
Now as my monitor is of 15"..so Im not able to use my PC to even its full functions..
Many windows jump out of the limit.....

So I decided to disable it ...
I rebooted into recovery mode ..but it is not enetring into the root shell menu....
SO I can't enter the commands which could have disabled it...

Any ways guys to switch back to previous configuration...thru normal mode...??

Any help will be appreciated..

Thnx

If you simply want to stop using the proprietary (non open source) NVIDIA driver, you can do this in Ubuntu by going to the System menu, then Administration, then Hardware Drivers.

You should see one or two NVIDIA drivers, and one will be marked as active. Highlight the active one, and there should be a button marked "Remove" or something else that sounds ominous. I clicked on that and the driver was disabled (but not deleted from the system).
