Hi everybody,
I'm fairly new to Ubuntu, and just tried to install Lubuntu over a previous Ubuntu 10.04 install by installing the Lubuntu desktop through the terminal, rather than doing a full clean install.
Now, when starting up the computer, the computer randomly boots to the Gnome log-in screen, which doesn't function properly, regardless of whether I select Lubuntu from the environment selection menu or not, or to the Lubuntu log-in screen, which loads Lubuntu in a fully fit condition.
Is there a way to stop the Gnome log-in starting up sometimes and just boot Lubuntu? I've tried uninstalling and installing a whole bunch of stuff, but so far no cigar.
Thanks.
