View Full Version : [ubuntu] Lucid - Fn Key problem

Hi ppl. I'm pretty new to the forums and to linux generally. So far I've had no big problems (the ones I've had were solved by googling). This is not sth I can't live without but it would be great if someone could solve it :) I couldn't disable my touchpad and gsynaptics weren't detecting any touchpad (Elan tp... saw some threads, it's a bug) but I have a working script now to which I want to assign a shortcut. Temporarily I have a CTRL+ALT+Q which is working but Fn+F9 (which is used to disable tp in windows) is not producing any code (tried xev). Other Fn+Fx are working just fine and I can reassign them in keyboard shortcuts. I don't know if it's because of a bad layout, I tried switching to some others but it's still not working. If anyone could help please :) Oh and my laptop is Asus UL50Vg XX031V (distribution lucid lynx as the title says..).
