Fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64 does not boot

Hi everyone, I'm new here.

I tried installing Ubuntu 10.04lts 64bit. I did a fresh install on my HD and everything went smoothly. After restart however, the OS would not boot.

IIRC Grub didn't start either. After my BIOS ran I just had a blank screen with the blinking line...

System Specs:
msi x58m lga 1366 mini atx
intel i7-920
g-skill 1333mhz ddr3 (4x-2gb)
evga gtx260
Kingston ssdnow v2 64gb boot drive
1tb Samsung secondary

What do you guys think? Any help would be appreciated.
