People often complain about how "Macs can't right-click". This is obviously untrue, but by default it couldn't until a few years ago. What are the positives and negatives of only having one click?
Here's how I view it..
People compare too much with technology. Some saw Mac as "lacking a feature" because Windows had 2 mouse buttons. The thing they needed to keep in mind was that it was not Windows! They saw it as if you couldn't copy/paste or change your desktop settings. On a Mac, everything is done totally differently so the one-button mouse was fine. Not really lacking a feature (old Macs weren't gaming machines).
This isn't just restricted to Macs.
Pros:
-Simplicity for first time technology users who are very young or very old (not saying the elderly are mindless, mind you; but you know how some of them are ;) ) No need to say "right click" or "left click" etc.
-You learn keystrokes which can carry on over to other operating systems
-Developers can't cram menus into the secondary click. The result is often a much more unified appearance with applications.
Cons:
-Gaming = No.
-Too many clicks to do simple copy/pastes
-Hard to adjust to coming from a "normal" environment.
