doubts in installation

I am getting an error when i give ./configure such as gtk+-2.0 and gthread-2.0 packages not installed. how to install those packages. i tried installing the packages through synaptic package manager but i dont know which package to select since a large number of packages are available in that name.

I have attached the install file for the reference.

You need the development headers for those libraries, they are in the libgtk2.0-dev package. What are you trying to install, though? It's apparently GNU software, so it's probably in the repositories as well.

i get another error now statinig that "libglade-2.0" . when i go to repository i dont which one to install exactly, since a large packages available. How to find out which package to be installed. any simpler method of finding the exact package .
