all that happens is the monitor gives me a message that says "no signal check cables." Well it's not a cable problem because i'm using it right now with the previous version of ubuntu. when I go to boot from the cd, i get that error message. it gave me the same error message when I attempted to use the upgrade option under the update manager. i have downloaded and installed the proper drivers for the monitor, and still doesn't work.
