ubuntu 10.04 64bit
printscreen, alt+print screen,alt+f1 does nt work.
i installed from scratch ubuntu few weeks ago.

Are you using desktop effects? Compiz is a bit fidgety sometimes, almost reminds me of Windows in it's randomness.

Check Main Menu > System > Preferences > Advanced Desktop Settings or CompizConfig Settings Manager, there's a Gnome Compatability option under the General tab. Both main menu and screenshot shortcuts are there.

by running just compiz manager as u said , it fix itself i did nt have to change anything.
btw i went to the options u told me and everything was ok.


how do i change this thread to SOLVED?

in my thought it is a problem of ram.........

You may try it to open and then attach it or replace it.....

I think it will work.......

however I am new here……
I hope this site will give me much joy…….
I want to be a regular member…..
