View Full Version : [kubuntu] kwallet asks my password 3 times at bootup

I installed kwallet for using Mercurial with secure passwords. And I use KDE 3.5 in Ubuntu 10.4.

Ever since I installed kwallet, when I boot up the computer, it asks 3 times for a password (and a message like "kde has requested a wallet"). However it doesn't tell why it needs it, and shouldn't need it.

How can I find out what program is trying to get my password?

EDIT: it's not only at bootup. It keeps spamming that window every now and then. It asks: "KDE has requested to open the wallet 'kdewallet'. Please enter the password for this wallet below".

First of all, I don't enter my password if I don't know what it's for.
Second, why can't this thing let me work instead of constantly spam me with stupid windows for a password?
