this is really stressful, after a clean install of ubuntu 9.04 i deceide to install a lamp server,
i use tasksel but the lamp package is not listed so after an upgrade i find the lamp package and select it, everything seems to be going on well but then after a while reading the status message of the tasksel screen i see its rather uninstalling all kinds of stuff eg network connection manager, open office in fact the whole desktop is removed till the system gives me a terminal screen the kind on a server. rebooting does not resolve it.
this is really annoying because ive installed lamd on the same server before and it worked normally. what is goin on wrong.
