Failed to create a file system.

I'm getting the following error when I try to install Ubuntu 10.

"The ext4 file system creation in partition #1 of Serial ATA RAID nvidia_ffbafgde (stripe) failed."

FYI, I used gpart to remove all partitions before I tried the install. This has happened 2 times in a row.

I've installed other earlier versions of Ubuntu before without incident. I'm baffled about this one.

I am also trying to install ubuntu 10.04 and using whole disk my windows OS has been deleted and I too get the error message.
