I use synaptic on KDE and hate that it always stands out. I know that this is because it is written in GTK and runs as a root application, thus it takes its theme from the /root/ folder.

How do I go about theming it to match QtCurve and thus match the other GTK applications I use.

I have seen some tutorials on how to do this on Gnome but I have not gotten them to work on KDE.

Thanks

Use any gtk theme switcher application. Use "gtk theme" search in synaptic.
Run it twice, first as yourself, second time with su -, (not sudo or gksudo)

I got it working with a program called gtk-theme-switch2 and it now looks great. Thanks very much.

This should be the default theme for root GTK applications for KDE.
