I am using Ubuntu 10.04, with a fresh install, and the gnome desktop. I have two small issues I can't seem to work out. First, I accidentally deleted the volume control on the upper panel, and can't figure out how to put it back. I checked the "Add to Panel" applets, no joy.
My second problem is that the extra buttons on my MS Natural Multimedia Keyboard 1.0A don't work. They worked fine in 8.04, 9.04 and 9.10. They all show up in the Keyboard Shortcuts tool, and in gconf. The only one that does work is the PLAY/PAUSE button. I tried "Keytouch" it wouldn't grab the keys, as they are already held by another process. (obviously gnome) Its driving me crazy. If it matters, its connected via PS/2.
I'm sure there is a simple solution I am overlooking. Anybody got the solution?
