Is that for real? "List Price: $599.99" I've been looking of such readers for a while and this is the highest price I've seen so far.
I won't expect too many people buying it for this price.
Not to mention that according to their specification the display is
7.0 inch SVGA(800×600) LCD! What about the battery life? One of the motivations behind the so called e-ink screens is to extend significantly the battery life and also to provide high contrast in day light conditions, which a normal paper book gives...

lz1dsb if you read a little closer youe would have seen that the price is $309.99.

Also, I understand this is NOT an eInk device, but in its defense, it also provides much more than conventional ebook readers.

It is a fully functional tablet PC that offers the user so much.

Yes, it has a limited battery life compared to a regular eInk device, but with an 8 hour battery life, this is sufficient for most people.

And yes, it won't have the wonderful screen contrast that eInk provides in high light levels.

However, as a multi-capable device, the price is hard to beat.

Roger :p

Check dealextreme.com for cheaper pricing.

I'm not affiliated in any sense with them, but will be buying one as soon as they're off backorder...
