I did a clean install of 10.04 and installed all the updates and drivers for my video card. When I boot my computer I see the ubuntu screen but it has large font. then I get a black screen with the cursur and hear the log on music. After the black screen for a few sedonds I get to my desktop. I have it set up to auto log in to my account.

It appears to me that I missing wall paper or something in this process. I don't think the ubuntu screen should be as big and I should see some wallpaper other than black.

any Ideas?
