I upgraded from Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04 today. Everything seemed to install properly, and I clicked ok to restart the computer. When it restarted it displayed a splash screen different from the old one, which I presume is intentional. After a few moments of displaying the splash screen the monitor then displayed several colored blocks and lines all over the screen, though I still had a usable mouse. The mouse operates normally, however, when I move it to the bottom of the screen, the blocks in the column where the mouse is become grayed and flashy and a clone of the mouse appears at the top of the screen. I have No idea what to do, please help me.
