AltaVista Founder Dies at 42

The founder of Altavista, Paul Flaherty, has suddenly died of a heart attack at 42, at his home in California. He was truly one of the pioneers of the Web, and will be sorely missed.

Altavista has been very important for the development of the internet as we know it, and a lot of respect is due to this developer, who's gone away really too early to see new, exciting things to come :cry:
