View Full Version : [ubuntu] Lucid 10.04 and googleearth (bad mix) JUST DON'T WORK!!!

Hi all, more and more people gets adding to this issue.

Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 + googleearth = DON'T WORK.

Please I request for experienced people that may be able help in the resolution of this massive problem to contribute.

Users affected, please don't be lazzy and make a post all of you that are experiencing this same issue so the comunity understand the severity the problem affecting large amounts of ubuntu users.

I'm still having this issue.

I have 32bit ubuntu lucid. don't know how to disable ipv6 to test.

I am having problem with combination of Lucid 10.04 (upgraded from 9.10 via package manager) and googleearth (installed directly from google download). I'm a linux newbie... see info below.

Scenario
opened kml file and while zooming into a location I encountered err. Also experienced same problem without opening a kml file and just zoming into a camera icon on a map.

err message
"drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -12. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info."

dmesg output contains numbers messages (of various values) similar to
evbug.c: Event. Dev: input5, Type:

uname -a ouput:
2.6.32-22-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 3 22:02:19 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
