ubuntu does not see hard drive

I guess I have a problem ?.

One of my hard drive is recognized by live CD 9.10 but installed system does not recognize it. fortunately it is also recognized by both NTFS configuration tool and mount manager but when I tried to mount using them nothing happens. I have no problems with seeing in in windowsxp.

Could somebody help ?.

is the bios identify it well ? how is it formated ?

check errors on partitions with http://partedmagic.com/

Bios does identify it and it is formatted as ntfs drive.
