View Full Version : [ubuntu] Lucid Lynx Wubi Blank Screen at Boot + Workaround

Here's a peculiar bug I've been putting up with since Lucid's release. I've installed 64-bit Ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop using Wubi (Windows is 32-bit Vista if that makes a difference). It boots quick and all, but for some reason tty7 doesn't draw at all. I get a blank screen. All I have to do is switch to a text-only terminal like tty1 via Crtl+Alt+F1 and back to tty7 with Crtl+Alt+F7 to fix it, but it's probably not the intended behavior, since the average end user trying Ubuntu out will not know those shortcuts.

Anybody found a way to fix this?
