Ubuntu 10.04 64bit.

I wanted to record a tutorial for LMMS, so as a test i load LMMS
and play back one of my songs while recording with Xvidcap.

Video is fine but there isn't any sound.Checked Alsa mixer and "capture" is on.

Also tried "Record My Desktop" but it locks up after recording with the "Shutting Down" message displaying.

I have audio enabled in Xvidcap, using mp2 codec, since I don't have lame installed, using /dev/dsp as input device.

Does Xvid cap only work with a mic?
Can i get it to record sound from apps i run?
Does jackd have to be running?
