Hi guys,

The eternal noob again. :(

I am having some grief with my brand new installation of 10.04, such as Skype "quitting" whenever I try to use the chat window, my printer randomly disappearing and me having to remove and reinstall CUPS and some sound trouble.

I can live with these hassles, but will they get solved with future updates or do I have to diagnose/fix myself?

Thanks one more time for any help.

CUPS seams like it could be fixed as that does get updated frequently, Skype should also get a fix in but I suppose it depends on what exactly is making it quit e.g. webcam or microphone or whatever. There are other alternatives to skype im pretty sure, try looking at all the other messaging applications in the software centre
