View Full Version : The delicious thread about ubuntu everywhere.

I see many UF members here post examples of ubuntu in real life or other parts of the web. I've decided to create a topic about it, so there are less of the same threads, since apparently posting a single topic about it is considered spam.

So start posting!

Some weird gnome 1.x distro in a local eye clinic. Looks near identical to this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:GNOME-escritorio-1.x.png except it uses the bluecurve icon theme, and the gnome foot is reddish orange. Yes, I noticed, because the computers are out in the open in rows.

That's the only time I've blatantly seen Linux anywhere out in the open. There were a couple "was that a gnome desktop?" moments from time to time though.

A while back I saw a student in my spanish room. His laptop was left there. The screen was black, with white text. I went over and typed "uname -a".

Sure enough, ubuntu.
