The Inner Light (from TNGs season 5) is full of these moments. One of the best star trek episodes ever.

That is FUNNY! I hadn't seen that before...


The Inner Light (from TNGs season 5) is full of these moments. One of the best star trek episodes ever.

Inner Light is also one of my fave episodes... also we played the theme to Inner Light at me and my wife's wedding, which makes that episode even more magical and emotional when I watch it now :) Also after the wedding we had SO many compliments on the song choices, and many were shocked when I told them it was from Star Trek. Also a factoid, did you know the son in the flashback was Patrick Stewart's real life son? Just something neat...

Also though Tasha Yar was only in the first half of the first season, I think she was in one of the most romantic and most emotional scenes. Romantic being her and Data (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR5maoi5fgU) and emotional was her funeral service (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPE2yaNP9hY).

Jay Chattaway composed the music for this episode, including the Ressikan flute solo played by Kamin and Picard. Chattaway later expanded this piece into a six-minute orchestral suite that is available on "The Best of Star Trek: 30th Anniversary Special" soundtrack CD. (memory-alpha)
