I found my XP disc and I want to install it in the virtual box just in case I need it. The thing is that it's not showing up (I think mounted is the term). It has no scratches, and my disc drive still works. I can hear it spinning, but when I go to Virtual Box to get it installed it says this on a black screen.

FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted

The upper panel has a mount media selection, I don't have Vbox running on any of my computers so somebody else will give you a better description.

Right click on the VM you're trying to load and select settings, then navigate to Storage, select the one with the CD icon (Probably says empty) and on the right where it says CD/DVD Device select "Host Drive"

It's actually not even showing up on Ubuntu. When I put in the disc nothing pops up, it's not mounting (or whatever) or showing up in my CD Drive.

it does show up on my dad's windows computer, and I just tried a DVD to make sure my reader isn't broken. blah...the disc isn't showing up.
