I tried installing from mini iso 10.04.
I got this error: Configuring linux-image-2.6.32-22-generic
An error was returned while trying to install the kernal into the target system.
Kernal package 'linux-generic'
check /var/log/syslog or see virtual console 4 for the details.

I had a similar error when trying to install from the server iso
debootstrap warning
failure while installing base package will try up to 5 times. When I hit continue it was stuck at 57% and the file it was at said libgcrypt11
