Issue after partial upgrade

Hello All,

Ever since I tried to upgrade my vanilla install of Ubuntu 10 , am getting the error whenever I switch on my machine. It asks for a partial upgrade and on selecting it, it hangs after sometime with error.

Is there any way I can revert back to the previous state.
