Dual screens

Xubuntu will not recognize the presence of 2 screens on my Inspiron 1525 laptop. If my external monitor is plugged in, xubuntu will act as if it is the only available screen; if the monitor is not plugged in, it will do the same with my laptop's screen.

Unlike normal Ubuntu, there is no autodetect for the screens...any help would be appreciated.

I can't help you with autodetect, but if you want to fix it after the facts, check out the `xrandr` command. It allows you to manually configure screens.

Do you have a Xorg.conf at all?
