It's childish and wrong.

I don't mean to be condescending. That's just what I thought as I read it.

Two comics in and I already have a hater :(
Did you want a more serious comic (which is an oxymoron)?
They're just based off of my interpretations after reading posts of people talking about the OS's they use and when I was researching which OS to use. I wasn't going to go into that much research of who uses what distro.

At any rate, keep 'em coming. Your first two are amusing. :)

Oh- I must have misunderstood the "even though I have been equalled" and "I will take it in the name of..." there. ;)

Agreed. It is just a comic. Some people will like it, others won't.

As for me? I thought it was okay. I smiled at several panels.

That's normal, I'm surprised you didn't get them in the first comic.
They're OK for an amateur, the drawing isn't very good but again it's not very important if you have a good sense of humour.
Some of my favourite webcomics don't have a very elaborate look:
http://xkcd.com/
http://www.explosm.net/comics
http://nedroid.com/

As long as you enjoy making them, keep it up. ;)

I have fun making them, which is why I put a touchscreen tablet as a necessary feature for the netbook I plan on saving up for. Does Ubuntu support touch screen? I could always ask in the help sections when the time comes. The mouse is hard to draw with...but perhaps I can do what other webcomic artists do and draw it out then color it with GIMP.

I heard that Wacom tablets work with it out-of-the-box.

Hmmm...I will have about $90 to spend from a tutoring job, and since how I have nothing to do this summer besides also learning python this could be an investment. I would've used it for a video game anyways, but it's still not enough for a netbook. So I'll just get a job as a math tutor at my college :)

Well I think I'll get this one. Apparently the newer ones aren't out of the box as they used to be, but they can still be used.

Good job with the comic I think it is good but labelling windows user = idoit is not right.
Find a better non offensive work like the un inform, "average user" , "Boring people"

I agree, it is a bit of wrong in the current mind frame of things. I get the feeling you're trying to say something the way it is. But unfortunately for you, the "way it is" is much wider than your current scope of view. Because of this lack of insight, the message you portray is very difficult to relate to (I find it difficult to even agree with any of the stereotypes you make out).

I suppose practice makes perfect though... and a little inside knowledge. ;)

I thought about being nicer, but I had to fix my dad's brand spanking new Win 7 machine (it was having some bizarre driver issues) for a few hours today which I had to find out on my own because basically the only things told to me were "Fix it, it's not working; I don't know what's wrong with it; hurry up, I need to do my school work" (my dad is in college right now), and there was NO COMMUNITY SUPPORT. So I made it out of frustration from things running through my head.

Haha, I got all the Windows bashing concentrated into one panel, and that's the last of it. My next one are on the frustrations of linux through observational humor of course. I just took what I read on these boards about other distros.

I've seen Gentoo people called masochists
Arch users always say it's for real men (whatever that means)
I always hear how SUSE has a lot of bugs (I haven't used SUSE though)
for Ubuntu it based on how I see people talking about how they have their grandparents use it, and I like it because it's easy to use
Okay the Fedora one was kind of made up because I couldn't think of another distro, but it's based on Red Hat which made me think of Entrepreneurs which made me think of the slick haired 80s entrepreneurs.

Hmmm...maybe this comic was a little insulting. Well no more mean comics for me. :KS

There is already a tonne of nerd humour out there, and you say nothing that hasnt already been done 1000's of times before. If you are going to put your creativity out for scrutiny, esp if you are a writer, you need to carve your own niche and have a unique angle on things. Otherwise, it just looks like a facsimilie of a million other things.

My first one was original (I hope). I have a new original idea for tomorrow, and I plan on making my artwork improve by getting a tablet...thing. All wheels turn slowly when they start. Also I said I was doing this for fun, I just like to share them with the community. I will improve on them though and I appreciate the constructive criticism.
Well good thing I'm not a writer or artist, just a plain old engineer student :D

There is a comic strip creater for linux though. Bryan mentions it on the Linux Action Show. You might want to google it.

Also to the other people. My mind blanked on SUSE and Fedora. I had an idea for SUSE but I lost it, so I just made something up.
