Hello,
I just got a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04.
I have it plugged into my Samsung LN-S1952W TV via DVI and it is saying that it is a 7" monitor in system->preferences->Monitors when it is a 19" monitor and it will only show a portion of my screen.
When I plug in the VGA on boot, the monitor does come up as a 19" monitor and at the correct 1440x900 resolution which I do not have available with DVI.
My video card is a radeon x800 series video card, and I would prefer to use the DVI connection for my potential media center.
