Best way to test Gnome 3.0?

Well, i've heard of many ways, what is the best? I know i can't VM it, which depresses me, its my preferred way. So whats the best way to test it out? Running Lucid. (With gnome...)

Gnome Shell, which is a part of Gnome 3, can be tested by adding a Gnome Shell PPA (there are a few out there), then installing the gnome-shell package and running:


gnome-shell --replace
