What services are required to run Open office on xp? cuz I think I disabled some services and I am unable to run Open office.

Try reloading the program if you have the cd with open office on it. i have it loaded on vista and it works fine by it self. Clean some of the trash ya might have on your drive then try to load the program again. :P:popcorn:

I tried to Re-install/ remove and repair but I get this message:
btw I disabled some of my services on my xp and this occurred.

OOOPS!!! I opened the task manager and I closed OOo and it worked...SORRY!!!
I feel like a n00b again!:P

Actually you don't have to have java, except for when it is needed. It will run fine with it off, I have a special way I set OO up every time to make it run faster, and this includes turning java off, but I don't need it.
