Hi,
I upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04 recently.
I used kpowersave in 9.10 which allowed me to control the cpu and made my notebook run on battery for more than 3 hours again.

In 10.04 kpowersave has disappeared - or is unsupported?
How can I control the CPU-speed, even when plugged-in? I want it to run normally on low speed (fan does not blow) and high-speed, when I really need it.

Have not found any other option yet... ;-/

Thanks,
GaXi

I have just found out, that there exists a panel-item for the upper bar to adjust at least the CPU-frequency ("CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor").

Via "Add to Panel"

Before I had kpowersave installed manually. This also worked without problems: http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=29295
