Hello
I'm running Ubuntu 10.04.

I installed KDE 4.4 and removed Gnome.

I want Firefox to integrate properly in KDE.

I installed this Firefox theme https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59338/

and followed the instructions at the bottom of that page to get a KDE style file picker.

I also installed the Plasma Notify extension.

My problem is that if I download a file and right-click>open containing folder in Firefox's download window the containing folder does not appear, but instead a window appears asking me to choose an application

When I was using Firefox with Gnome doing this opened Nautilus with the directory containing the downloaded file.

I tried to fix this by choosing Dolphin in the Choose Application window but I don't know where the Dolphin program is stored.

Please help me to fix this.

It should integrate seamlessly if you chose Kubuntu instead. A fresh install should do the job, but not sure if you want to do that.

make a desktop choice at the beginning, the install should work seamlessly.

you cannot expect seamless integration removing and reinstalling different environments without some difficulty, it doesn't work that way !

Dolphin is located at /usr/bin/dolphin

If you setup files to be opened with dolphin in the "Choose Application" window it will work just fine.

Not related to your problem, but you might like KDE Wallet password integration (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/49357/) extension for Firefox. I don't know if the author fixed some recent issues, but I'm using version 0.4 of that extension and it works great. You can find that version here (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addons/versions/49357).
