It's a rat. I really don't get it. Or maybe it's supposed to be a mouse, not a rat, so it's a pun because a mouse is also a computer accessory. That's the best I got.:popcorn::guitar::confused:

Maybe because its configuration is entirely mouse driven... but probably the reason above.

Why are you asking if they should change their logo? You haven't offered a reason to do so.

Mouse = small and fast

There are other things that are small and fast, but aren't rodents...

I mean, it gets worse with the Xubuntu logo. Ubuntu's logo is supposed to be three people standing in a circle with their arms connected. They put a rat in the center. It makes no sense to have three people standing around a rat. And based on the size comparisons, it must be one huge rat. Ubuntu is supposed to be about humanity, right? So where a rat comes into that, I can not possibly hope to comprehend...

Perhaps the mouse is above the people and it just appears large. ;)

I do not see the issue, they both look fine.

Please don't take this thread TOO seriously, though....I was just poking fun. I know there are all kinds of animal logos for Linux. and of course all the Ubuntu versions are named after animals. so it's not a stretch to have a rat logo. I would never be so uptight to base my judgment on the logo being a rat.

It's cool. :)

I like the SUSE logo the best. Chameleons rock.

If we're correcting people, he was talking about Xfce, not Xubuntu.

Correction, he was referring to that lightweight desktop that uses GTK.. Oh wait thats XFCE you are right. :oops:

But I'd really love to see Rat-man (http://www.rat-man.com/) sponsor XFCE anyway, to be honest..
